My paintings are of memorable moments, infused with the coziness and familiarity of the home environment or the calm of a minute of solitude. Working in series sets, “Women & Friends”, ‘Urban Suburban” and “Famous Interiors”, using my own artistic ‘style’, I wish to interpret the subjects in a fresh, spontaneous way that brings attention to the common place.
Here in the studio you will, of course, see paintings from all my series. The figures from ‘Women & Friends’, the ‘Urban-Suburban’ paintings and a few from ‘Famous Interiors’. Currently, I am inspired to revisit ‘Women & Friends’, once the primary focus of my hand pulled serigraphs, in fresh and fun compositions in acrylic on canvas. The Figures
Our lives are made in the small moments each day, sitting alone or with friends in conversation, over a glass of wine. Maybe tending flowers in your garden or catching a glimpse of light in your house upon returning home. That feeling, the profound recognition of humanity at ease, is my subject.
